Bio of Shaykh Abdul-Fattah ibn Abdullah

Al-Shaykh Abdul Fatah ibn Abdullah  born in April 1973, at Kampung Bukit Telaga, Gual Ipoh, Tanah Merah Kelantan. In 1980 , he started his primary education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Gual Ipoh. In 1983, he enrolled into Madrasatul Quran Kubang Bujuk, Serada, Kuala Trengganu where he memorized 30 juz al-Quran and obtained “Shahadah” as “Hafidh”.

Thereafter, in 1987, he furthered his studies in the same institute under the “Syu’bah of Revelation Science,” till the year 1991. He was given the privilege to study under the learned scholar Maulana Muhammad ibn Abdul Qadir al-Nadwi.

In the year 1992, the Shaikh traveled abroad leaving his homeland in order to quench his thirst for knowledge. He enrolled into world renowned Jamia Faruqia ʿAlamiyyah, Karachi, Pakistan where he completed his studies in the Faculty of Shariah and Islamic Studies.

Among his teachers are Ustadh al-’Ulama Shaikh al-Hadith Maulana SalimuLlah Khan, head of Wifaq al-Madāris; Maulana Husain Nelwi, Maulana Manzur Nu’mani Bahawalpuri and Maulana Dr. Manzur Ahmad Menggal.
Currently, the Shaikh is trusted as head of Syu’bah of Revelation Science at Madrasat al-Qur’an Kubang Bujuk, Kuala Trengganu, and also as Shaikh al-Hadith in the same institute. Beside that, he also teaching Fara’id, Falak and Arabic Literature. The Shaikh is also active in writing scholarly works, articles, and Islamic creative literatures. He is involved in giving lectures and da’wah work on a NGO platform.
