Question: Must One Make-up All Missed Prayers even if they have Repented?

Question:
Assalamu Alykum!
I want to ask that if a person makes tawbah (repentance) for all of his previous missed prayers (salats) and after that never misses his next prayers (salats),then in this case is there any need to make-up previous missed prayers?
Please guide me according to Shafi Fiqh. Thank you.

الحمد لله رب العالمين ، وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين، وبالله التوفيق
Salah is one of the pillars of Islam and the most important and virtuous action after iman (belief). It is consensus of the ummat that the five times daily salahs is fardh ʿayn (individual obligation) (al-Majmūʿ: 3: 6).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (radiya Allahu ‘anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah
(sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The five (daily) salah (prayers) and the Friday (prayer) to the Friday (prayer) expiate whatever sins may be committed in between, so long as major sins are avoided.” [Sahih Muslim].
Sayyiduna Jabir t reported, the Messenger of Allah
(sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Between a man and, polytheist and disbelief is the abandonment of Salah (prayer).” [Sahih Muslim].
Five times daily fardh salahs are compulsory for those who fulfilled these conditions:
1. Muslim
2. Mature
3. Sane
4. Pure from haidh (menstruation) and nifas (post-natal bleeding). (al-Iqnaʿ li al-Khatib)
Whoever fulfilled the conditions above and missed out a salah in its prescribed time without any valid excuse, it is compulsory for him to make taubah and to carry out the missed salah (qaḍāʾ) immediately (al-Majmūʿ: 3: 53).
Sayyiduna Anas (radiya Allahu ‘anhu) narrated that Prophet Muhammad
(sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever forgot a salah, he should perform it when he remembers.” [al-Bukhari]
If the amount of missed salahs are many, you may leave out the sunnah salah and carry out the missed salah (qaḍāʾ) before and after every fardh salah, and whenever you find time for it.

Assalaamu aliykum,
If the missed salaat was missed because a person was doing the salaat incorrectly, is it still fard to make them up? If so what are the integrals only that one would need in order to complete the missed salaat in a more timely manner?
Your weak brother,
Shadhili.
Wa alaikum assalaam, wa Rahmatulah!
Remember brother, that Allah
is the most merciful, and indeed, will not suffer the righteous deeds of the believer to be in vain. As long as you were not ignorant, meaning that you did the salah wrong knowingly, then you should not have a problem. Remember that deen is easy, so making up prayers done without knowledge is not necessary, Alhamdulilah, its good that Allah
allowed you to remember Him!
Salamu ‘alaykum,
To brother Shadhili; the ruling would be relative to what action was done incorrectly; if a rukn was intentionally missed then yes. If it is something that would nullify the prayer, and in which no other dispensation can be found within another school, then one would have to make it up.
Mikha’il, may Allah
bless you with good amin, however, you are incorrect. The proof that one would have to remake Salah is found in the hadith known as قِصَّة الْمُسِيء صَلَاته or the story of the man who was mistaken in prayer [Agreed upon hadith; i.e. Bukhari and Muslim]. The Prophet Muhammad
(alayhis salam) told him to return to pray three times:
ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ
“Go back and make Salah, for you did not pray!”
Even though the man thought he was making Salah correctly. You can read the hadith here:
http://hadith.al-islam.com/Display/Display.asp?Doc=0&Rec=9339
It is also found in the book of salah of Sahih Al-Bukhari.This is why the Fuqaha’ have entire sections devoted to the “Actions that Nullify One’s Prayer”.
