Launch of the Question and Answer Section
Salamu ‘Alaykum All,
We are pleased to announce that we have officially started the Question & Answer section of Shafiifiqh.com. We hope, in the near future, to be able to answer all questions, however, at this time we will have to choose the questions that are most practical, as well as most relevant to the modern Muslim-Shafi’i condition. We ask that all those asking be Shafi’i. Please do not waste our time with questions from other schools, as sites currently exist for the other schools. Such does not mean that you should not ask, but that we are in the process of accessing more Shafi’i ‘Ulama’ so as to be able to properly accommodate all inquiries.
You can ask your questions here. The answers, if not already answered in other articles, will be posted on the main Shafiifiqh.com site in article form. Do not expect a quick response, as several issues must be taken into consideration before your question will be officially answered. Some, though not all, of those issues include:
1) Editing and spell check take time, something that our team does not have alot of.
2) Because we believe that design and art add to the beauty of Shafiifiqh.com, we may, if necessary, have to design banners etc that accentuate the question and answer.
3) We want to make Shafiifiqh.com to be a site of academic Shafiite research. Such means that we must take all measures to make sure that the answer includes reliable and established proofs and references. Much of that research requires translation and peer-review.
We ask that you make Du’aa to our Lord that he aid us and assist us in preserving and sharing the knowledge of this school to the masses.
